Dial Indicator Stand
thingiverse
I purchased this indicator recently to help set up and adjust my 3D printer. The link to the mounting bracket is here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2801415 After building the bracket and setting up the 3D printer, I realized that a case was needed to store the indicator safely on my desk. Instead of hiding it in a box, I thought it would be more interesting to turn it into a lab tool by designing a functional base and handle for use as a measuring device, also known as a Dial Comparator, upright dial gauge, or thickness gauge. This is a simple design that fits the theme, so it was created in Tinkercad. You can see it in action here: https://youtu.be/WORKjD3592M This thing was made with Tinkercad and you can edit it online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/aXo4m4NNFGR
