Wanted a new approach to leveling my bed so I ordered an inexpensive dial indicator and then designed this mount for it in Solidworks. It's intended to be secured tightly with m6 bolts and nuts, and you can even choose to insert one or more bolts through each of the three holes if needed. Each hole offers multiple possibilities for mounting the indicator. Since my dial is relatively compact, I'm utilizing the center position as a benchmark. The design has been optimized for printing without support materials, and I opted for PETG due to its impressive strength properties. It can clip onto rods positioned vertically adjacent to each other. PLEASE REMEMBER TO BE CARFUL WHEN WORKING WITH THESE COMPONENTS AND DON'T END UP DAMAGING YOUR RODS! As the creator of this part, I am not responsible for any issues arising from the printer if you choose to use it. It's worth noting that I recently updated my original design by creating a modified version capable of accommodating up to three bolts simultaneously, thus allowing users to position their dial indicator in any of three height settings. In my picture illustration, only two bolts can be seen. Later on, I decided to add an additional hole for the third bolt and have yet to print this version. Components required: * 2 units of Dial indicator mount prints * Between one and three units each of M6 bolts * Between one and three units each of M6 nuts Settings to be followed during printing: Printer model employed – Wanhao Duplicator i3 Layer settings utilized: * No rafts employed * Printing without support materials used in this part. Avoid doing the same, it can produce unsightly results. Print density is crucial and has been set to 50% or greater, but can be higher to give your printed material additional stiffness.
