Dial Indicator mount for Voron Afterburner toolheads
thingiverse
I needed a way to measure bed flatness for a dispute with the seller so I made this dial gauge mount to fit my Voron 2.4 x carriage frame. It fits the standard Afterburner or Stealthburner(beta) carriage. For use, remove the hotend mount and extruder. Install this dial indicator mount by sliding it under the upper hotend mount screws (may need to back them out a bit) and secure with two M3x8 bolts. Don't forget to snug up the upper two screws. Slide your dial indicator gauge in and tighten the M3x16 bolt to secure it in place. If you use the nozzle stop for z, you'll need to home the printer before removing the existing hotend and extruder to put this on. I just set my probe up as the z endstop for testing purposes and changed z_safe_homing coordinates to put the probe over the bed for homing z on my Voron 2.4. I started version that doesn't require the extruder to be removed but it's ridiculously long and I worried about accuracy using it. That's why I made this one, it puts the tip of the indicator about the same area as the nozzle would be (not exactly though). If you'd like the other version, shoot me a message and I'll finish it and upload it as well. Required for assembly: M3x16 SHCS M3 heatset, I used a 5mm length one. You could use an M3x20 and a nut (washer recommended) if you don't want to mess with the heatset. Worked flawlessly.
