Dial Indicator Mount for Ender 3 Carriage
thingiverse
This is a mount I made for a Dial Indicator using an extra carriage I had for my Ender 3/Alfawise u20. I made this for I wanted to make sure the Dial Indicator could touch all parts of the build plate. Just need an extra extruder carriage and two M3x8mm bolts, specifically designed for the Dial Indicator model Rinoco B07KJ963BF. I have found that you use this while the extruder is still installed, just move it to one side, get your measurements, take the Dial Indicator off, then move extruder to other side, reinstall Dial Indicator and get measurements from other side. I used a clamp to hold the z screw so it wouldn't move up and down as I am taking readings. See pictures on how to install the printed piece to the carriage. You can bolt the Dial Indicator to the mount, but found that it is tight enough on my mount that I don't need to bolt it to it. Materials (2) 3M x 8mm bolts Extruder Carriage (10-13$ on Amazon) PLA
