Dial Indicator Mount - Duplicator i3

The original was nearly flawless, except for a minor issue with the indicator hole being slightly undersized, and an absent gap to secure it properly upon printing. To rectify this, I increased the gap to 1mm, creating two versions tailored to different hole sizes. The 10mm version proved to be just a tad too large for my gauge, prompting me to create a 9.5mm variant as well. As you can clearly see, even with these adjustments, it still didn't work optimally for my gauge due to its short leg failing to reach the build plate. To resolve this, I designed a Low Rider version that functions correctly. The link to this revised design is conveniently provided below, along with Fusion 360 source files for those who wish to customize it further. Please note that this mount should not be relied upon as the primary leveling method. Instead, I recommend using the feeler gauge/paper technique to achieve a close level, then utilizing this mount for fine-tuning purposes. Trust me, this will save you an immense amount of time. This design utilizes an M3x15-20mm bolt and M3 nut; while I only had 20mm bolts available, 15mm should be more than sufficient. It's also worth mentioning that this mount is specifically designed for dials lacking a back plate with mounting holes (for traditional use). If your dial features the standard mounting holes on the back, there are numerous excellent alternatives already available on Thingiverse. Print Settings Printer: Monoprice Maker Select v2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.16 Infill: 35% Notes: While resolution and infill aren't particularly crucial, I employed these settings for my own printing needs. I strongly advise using supports, however, and not just from the build plate.
