Dial Indicator Magnetic Lathe Mount
thingiverse
This is designed to attach a standard dial indicator gauge to the bed of a lathe for precise tracking of carriage movement. It features a guide to ensure accurate positioning. For best results, use at least 70% infill as my prototype had only 20% and broke due to magnet strength. You will need: Two 15mm x 3mm neodymium magnets, readily available from eBay at an affordable price. One M6 x 30mm bolt for assembly. Some strong adhesive or gaffer tape to secure the magnets in place.
