This design empowers you to utilize a Harbor Freight dial indicator by replacing the back plate and incorporating a 0.875x0.4x1.875 Rare Earth magnet available from Lowes Hardware to facilitate more precise movement of your lathe. My lathe is a Southbend Nordic 15" metal lathe, which works flawlessly. I printed mine at 30% cubic infill, and it appears to function perfectly well. A fair warning, though - hot metal chips tend to stick to plastic (which seems obvious). I would recommend recreating the design out of aluminum using it as a pattern or simply utilizing the indicator to set your travel stop on the lathe before removing it. Enjoy!
