Dial Indicator Holder for Ender 3 V2 Neo
thingiverse
I was having issues and I wanted a more stable way to measure the imperfections in the bed, then I remembered I had dial indicators! :)Clips on to extruder- No modifications... I'm not 100% certain, but I think most inexpensive dial indicator mounts are the same size. I used a M5 cap screw with a Nylon Insert Jam Nut to hold it securely.Pros??Creates a way to bed level (I believe) much better than using the paper method. It holds the dial indicator securely, but you'll have to watch it when making measurements.Cons??It can't reach the rear of the bed. It will get you approximately 2/3 of the way to the back. (I'm going to try to make another on that can hang on the side of the extruder shroud...)The clip that goes over the back of the extruder head covers over the screw in the back.Instructions for use:You'll need to raise your Z to about 50mm Attach the indicator and slowly lower the indicator onto the print surface.-Position it over each of the 4 adjustment screws (as best as you can, given the limited Y-Axis movement) and adjust the bed leveling screws to make them equal. Then run the BT Touch Bed Leveling program. Then set your nozzle offset.Hopefully this helps you as much as it did me!
