Dial guage clamp for RepRapPro Prusa Mendel Mono and Tricolour
thingiverse
This mini-bracket attaches to a Mendel Mono or Tricolour's extruder carriage (post-July 2013 version with vertical carriage). Fasten an 8mm dial gauge and note that, as shown, mine is upside down. Slicing settings aren't critical; I used slic3r at 0.3mm. Expect to enlarge the mounting holes (3mm) and the larger one (8mm) with a drill. The clamp screw hole should be 2.5mm. For leveling, adjust Z-axis zero screw for about 1mm nozzle clearance, then zero Z-axis. Secure bracket, slide in gauge, re-zero, and adjust gauge position slightly to get a small reading (0.1mm is ideal). Tighten clamp. Zero the dial guage and repeat process for other bed height screws. Re-check all bed height screws and address any discrepancies with kapton tape under glass. Remove gauge and re-adjust Z zero screw for 1mm clearance. Happy printing!
