Dial Gauge Mount for Prusa i3 MK2 Extruder
thingiverse
Since upgrading my MakerSelect to the MK2 extruder, I sought a more efficient way of leveling the bed with my dial gauge. Several mounts available on thingiverse failed to deliver the results I was looking for. Therefore, I designed this one from scratch. My design is based on that found here. Experimenting with plotting led me to recreate the original design to mount a dial gauge. I did not utilize any of his files for this creation but drew inspiration from mounting it to the stepper. Print Settings Printer: Monoprice Maker Select/Wanhao Duplicator i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 30% Notes: I printed this with two shells, which should suffice. Post-Printing Screws I employed the existing screws from the dial gauge to mount the backplate to it. The screws required for mounting the printed backplate to the mount are: 2 x M3-5 screws For the clamp on the top, you will need at least a 1 x M3-10 or longer screw. I have also added an indentation for a M3 locknut if you happen to have one lying around. The M3-10 screw I am using actually threads into the plastic for now, but I know that will eventually wear out.
