This adapter is designed for use with a Taz 6 to enable leveling of the 12mm X-Carriage rods to the bed via a dial gauge. This follows on from an earlier version made for Taz 3-5 models, which can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2675819. The adapter clips onto the top guide rail and swings over to secure itself on the lower rail, with a curved clip at the bottom that keeps it firmly in place. A dial gauge is attached using 1/4-20 x 1" or M6 hardware, which should be secured with washers to prevent crushing and loosening during use. Tighten securely so the gauge does not move while in use. I used a 1/4-20 x 1" hex cap screw, a flat washer, lock washer, and nut for this setup. With this configuration, bed leveling and Z-axis (X carriage rods) misalignment issues become easy to correct. To make adjustments, first raise the nozzle height about 5-10mm above the bed. Then turn off power or disable stepper motors so you can manually adjust the Z axis screws to level the X carriage rods. This should eliminate binding noise, calibration failure, and other problems.
