Background ----------------- Calipers are an essential tool in machine design. I carry calipers frequently, but I constantly encounter a problem with the caliper "teeth" catching on my backpack or pocket fabric. This causes wear and tear, ultimately leading to holes forming. In response, I created a smoother, protective caliper-case design that guards not only the caliper itself but also how it's carried. Print Settings ----------------- • Quality: ≤ 0.2mm layer height • Shell: ≥ 1.2mm wall thickness • Infill: ≥ 10% infill density • Material: PLA or PETG (PETG preferred) • Speed: dependent on printer capability, use best for your machine! • Support: none Special Thanks & Tip ------------------------------ I'm passionate about the open-source community that allows anyone to make, create, and remix amazing files. It's amazing what additive manufacturing has achieved by providing a fast and affordable way to manufacture parts. The bright and driven community behind this tech makes it even easier for those interested to get involved! Each of my designs is made available free of charge, but I rely on tips to fund future projects like these. If you found this project useful, consider leaving a tip (you don't have to, but if you insist, a small donation would be greatly appreciated!). This will go towards funding future projects so I can continue sharing my designs with the community!
