Diagonal Calibration Test
thingiverse
Measuring between corners along the diagonal is a technique used to verify accuracy in various applications, ranging from CNC routers to window frames. Either corner is centered on the vertices of a square. When printed correctly, the measurement between either corner along the diagonal should be identical. Each cone features a slight indentation at the top to facilitate caliper or divider placement. The cones are positioned 100mm along both the x and y axes, and 141.42mm along the diagonals. If these measurements differ, you will need to investigate resquaring your machine along the x and y axes. This may involve refitting print bed runners or realigning other components. For expert guidance, consult your printer's manufacturer.
