DHT22 Mounting Bracket with Integrated JST-XH Connector

This is a ventilated mounting bracket designed specifically for a DHT22 Temperature+Humidity sensor, featuring an integrated connector where the DHT22 directly plugs into. The standard JST-XH 2.5mm crimp pins used in this design can be easily sourced from any electronics supply house. Note that you will need to obtain three JST-XH (2.5mm) crimp pins, some stranded wire (28 AWG was used), and a crimper for assembly. The design of the mounting bracket incorporates standard crimp pins, which has been explored through experimentation with 3D printable custom electrical connectors. To assemble the bracket, simply crimp the pins onto your wires, insert them into the bracket in the same manner as a standard JST connector housing, plug the DHT22 into the integrated connector, and then secure it with the ventilated cover on top. A single countersunk mounting hole is provided, but if an alternative mounting method is required, the FreeCAD design file can be edited to accommodate this. The FreeCAD design file used for this project is included, allowing users to modify and customize the design as needed. The printing parameters used were 215C/55C with a layer height of 0.2mm (or 0.1mm), 1.2mm walls, 0.8mm top/bottom, and 40% infill using a 0.4mm nozzle. This design was created in FreeCAD 0.17 and sliced using Cura 3.4.1 before being printed on a Prusa clone using OctoPrint software.
