DHT22 Mounting Bracket with Integrated JST-XH Connector

<p>This is a ventilated mounting bracket for a DHT22 Temperature+Humidity sensor,</p> <p>with an integrated connector that the DHT22 plugs into.</p> <p>It uses standard JST-XH 2.5mm crimp pins.</p> <p>You can find these at about any electronics supply house.</p> <p>Note: You will need 3 JST-XH (2.5mm) crimp pins, some wire (I used 28 AWG stranded)</p> <p>and a crimper.</p> <p>I've been experimenting with 3D printable custom electrical connectors using standard</p> <p>crimp pins, and wanted to design the connector into the mounting bracket.</p> <p>Just crimp the pins onto your wires, insert the pins into the bracket</p> <p>the same way you would into a standard JST connector housing,</p> <p>plug the DHT22 into the integrated connector, and snap the ventilated cover on top.</p> <p>There is a single countersunk mounting hole, and if you need to mount it another way,</p> <p>you can edit the FreeCAD design file.</p> <p>My FreeCAD design file is included.</p> <p>I used PLA Pro at 215C/55C, 0.2mm layer height, (or 0.1mm) 1.2mm walls, 0.8mm top/bottom, 40% infill with a 0.4mm nozzle.</p> <p>Designed in FreeCAD 0.17, sliced in Cura 3.4.1, printed on a Prusa clone using OctoPrint</p> Category: Electronics
