Rewritten Instructions for Dial Home Device: The Dial Home device is still under development and was originally designed by Mikoaj Fabjaski, available on 3d Warehouse for Google Sketchup 8. It's used with permission from the original designer. The current project focuses on making it work with Glitch's thing (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:39976). Key changes made include removing solid spaces between gliphs, creating a solid base and adding holes for LED wiring, contact plates, and potentially connecting to a stargate (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:39976 by Glitch). It's suggested that an Arduino could be used to connect the DHD and stargate, lighting up corresponding gliphs in sequence when pressed. Currently, only the outer ring of gliphs is moveable. The model can be printed as it is but may require support under the gliphs. Future work includes designing a top for the device and developing its base. All comments and suggestions are welcome, and SKP and STL file formats have been uploaded. The designer acknowledges being an amateur but has recently updated files with improvements such as splitting the DHD into layers for easier printing and uploading newer files alongside older ones for users' convenience. However, a flaw in gliph pad 2.stl was discovered and will be fixed soon.
