DH Geared Fidget Spinner

DH Geared Fidget Spinner

thingiverse

This is a double helical geared fidget spinner that operates smoothly due to friction fit between bearings, eliminating the need for additional hardware. The center bearing is securely held in place by surrounding gears. To assemble this fidget spinner, you'll need to print four DoubleHelixGear components, two Spinner pieces, and two Bearing Buttons. Four 22mm bearings (608Z) are required for optimal performance. Print the gears, spinners, and buttons separately before assembling them together. You may need pliers to push the bearings into the gears, but be cautious not to break the gears in the process. Next, attach one of the bearing buttons to each side of one of the bearings, then place a bearing onto the spinner piece, requiring some force that might necessitate using pliers again. Ensure that the middle bearing's gears align with those on the attached bearing before pushing the other two bearings onto the spinner piece. Once the bearings are in place, attach the second spinner piece to complete the assembly. If you have any suggestions for improvement, please let me know. Print Settings: * Printer: Custom Built Delta (Delta-Six) * Rafts: No * Supports: No * Notes: This fidget spinner was printed with a 1.2mm nozzle at 0.6mm layer height; feel free to experiment with different settings for optimal results.
