The model is nearly life-size, features fully textured surfaces and boasts a highly detailed cockpit. It excludes the engine and pylon, though, but offers retractable landing gear and animatable control surfaces. Various formats house this model alongside its accompanying textures and materials. Developed from the DG-200 variant with carbon fiber wings, the aircraft can self-launch, thanks to its retractable engine. The DG-400 inherits most of the DG-202's systems but accommodates a larger fuselage and tail cone for its retractable engine and prop. Electric starter and retraction are also incorporated into the model.
