dfPlayer Bracket
thingiverse
The dfPlayer is an excellent audio module that plays back mp3 files stored on a micro SD card with ease. It's incredibly affordable and provides a solid foundation for transforming spare speakers into music playback devices. This versatile module features the SD card socket, audio playback electronics, stereo headphone outputs, and a mono speaker amplifier all in one compact package. It can be controlled either by local buttons or through commands sent over a serial interface. I use the dfPlayer in conjunction with an esp8266 processor to give browser-based control. The module can sometimes be a bit tricky to install due to its design. However, one solution is available to make mounting easier. This bracket is designed to simplify the installation process by allowing it to be screwed into a flat panel. A slot for the SD card needs to be cut out of the panel, but then the bracket can be secured with 2 screws to firmly hold the dfPlayer in place. The bracket has a small cutout to allow air circulation around the power amplifier and also features a rear hole to accommodate a wire if one wants to add a mute control wire.
