Shaving a bolt down to 14 using either the TMR 15 bolt kit with no ring gear shaving or the Barnes 4x4 13 bolt kit results in a gain of 1-1/8 inches of clearance over stock. The 3/8 material Barnes kit offers an excellent and affordable way to achieve over an inch of clearance, requiring only a sawzall and grinder for installation, with no welding necessary on the case.
