DFC-2F-The Heavyweight Champion. This rugged cradle boasts a substantial 1" mid-plate, DP, and front plate for those high-pressure applications that demand extreme performance. The rest of the cradle is crafted from robust ½" materials. In contrast to its counterparts, the side bars merge into a single piece, while the halo bars transform from four pieces of ½" laminated material to two pieces of sturdy 1" laminated stock. I'm not personally fond of this heavy-duty cradle or its associated cost, but it's been in high demand. As always, weld on a solid block, and when working with thick materials like these, be prepared to clean up holes slightly more or grind them down to ensure smooth part fitment. Typically, plasma cutting requires a minimum hole size equal to the material thickness, while smaller holes may introduce excessive taper.
