Snap on Battery Cover for Dexcom G4 Slim Transmitter. This device allows for seamless battery replacement on the Dexcom G4 slim transmitter, eliminating tedious procedures. Note: This is Version 1 - please provide feedback if you believe it can be improved further. To install this cover, you will need DIY skills to precision-cut (or mill flat) the G4 transmitter, leaving a minimum of 3.9 mm from the flat base. Next, remove old batteries as demonstrated in the YouTube video (search online). Thoroughly clean the contacts using a small rotating wire brush attached to a handheld hobby grinder. You won't need solder if you carefully spring out the bottom contacts and shape the top ones into a gentle curve, ensuring they're pressed down against the cover for optimal contact. Insert two new SR1120W batteries into the transmitter. Securely clip on the snap-on cover and seal with silicone rubber. Test the voltage across the two contacts as shown in the YouTube video to ensure proper functionality. For added waterproofing, apply a bead of silicone and cut it before the next battery change.
