Updated! V1.1 is tougher than ever! Ever needed a reliable power supply for your 14.4v or 18v battery? Own DeWalt power tools? The deWatt power adapter lets you tap into the power of a 14.4v or 18v XRP battery with ease. To assemble: 1. Get some 14-gauge solid-core wire (I got mine from my local hardware store, and stripped the insulation). 2. Mark two pieces at 1cm, 2cm, and 4cm. 3. Cut them at 4 cm and make sharp 90-degree bends at 1cm and 2cm. 4. Solder wires onto the top part using a soldering iron or pen. 5. Install the wires into the deWatt adapter and position the contacts correctly (check the photos for guidance). 6. Install the cap securely with 2x 8mm M3 screws and nuts. 7. If desired, install the latches with 2x 8mm M3 screws and M3 nuts. The adapter works perfectly on both 14v and 18v XRP batteries without the latches, but adding the latches ensures a secure fit. An eyelet cap is also available so you can hang your battery from a hook (remember to install the latches!). Note: This hasn't been tested with 12v or regular 18v batteries. Changelog: 1.0 - Initial Release on 2018-06-03 1.1 - Update on 2019-01-09: Caps now use 2x screws with nuts for added strength, and 18V latches are slightly longer.
