DeWalt XR Drill Wall Mount
thingiverse
Needed a sturdy wall mount for my DeWalt DCD796 drill/driver and its related models. The existing designs on hand were either too bulky and complicated or too small and flimsy. I designed this robust wall mount with a strong brace that focuses on one task: providing exceptional support. Its futuristic design complements the sleek look of the drill, giving it an otherworldly appearance reminiscent of a high-tech ray gun charger. I printed this mount using 4 shells and 20% infill with Maker Geeks Raptor HTPLA filament, resulting in a remarkably solid feel that could likely be achieved with fewer shells. To give it an extra touch, I highlighted the edges with pewter Rub'n'buff, adding a sleek finish. The fit on my Prusa i3 Mk3 was snug, requiring only a brief sanding session to perfect the area where the knurling is located on the drill. If your printer lacks precision, consider scaling up the design by 105%. Securely attaching it to the wall are three #6 drywall anchors. Before investing in materials, test your print settings with the small barrel bit provided separately and use it to check for a perfect fit.
