This adapter enables users to install a removable work surface onto their Dewalt Tstak. The author utilized a butcher block top from Home Depot, which they carefully cut down to size to ensure a precise fit. A custom-designed interface was created using Ninjatek's armadillo filament, chosen for its exceptional flexibility and durability. This material selection was motivated by two key objectives: enhancing the overall durability of the adapter and minimizing vibrations transmitted to the tool box. Since the adapter will be housing a Unimat lathe, reducing vibration is particularly crucial. There are two distinct methods for installing this adapter, each with its own set of steps. The first approach involves placing the adapter's feet onto the tool box, applying adhesive, and then carefully positioning the work surface on top. Once the adhesive has dried, the work surface can be removed, and screws can be inserted to secure it in place. This method proved efficient for the author and yielded satisfactory results. The alternative installation method requires drawing a template of the adapter's placement, followed by pre-drilling holes and screwing in the feet. Although this approach may seem more involved, the author has provided detailed measurements in the accompanying photographs to facilitate a seamless installation process.
