All of my batteries are Ridgid, so when I got an 18v DeWalt impact with a dead battery I wanted to adapt it and not have to print a new top when I was recycling the battery anyways. I took the top of the battery off and trimmed all the protrusions to the height of the shortest screw holes. I de-soldered the positive wire and snapped off the negative terminal from the original battery contact. The side buttons each use a 1/4" x 13/32" spring from a kit I got at Harbor Freight. It also needs 6x 6-32x3/4" screws that I ground down so they are flush with the top of the nuts as well as 6 matching nuts and 2 washers.
