This low profile dust shield greatly increases the depth a tool can go down on a workpiece. The DeWalt brand dust shield is made from brittle clear acrylic so is prone to shattering. The DeWalt dust shield also stands well above the metal base making tool change difficult whilst also reducing the cutting depth because it prevents the collet from fully descending.
