Several years back, I started creating my own battery adapters for power tools. All my friends and coworkers asked me to do the same, so I had to design adapters compatible with other battery brands. I'm particularly fond of Ryobi 18-gauge nailers, and I wanted this adapter to be more robust - sturdy enough to withstand being dropped on a concrete floor without breaking. With this version, you'll find three types of batteries: Makita, DeWalt, and Milwaukee. You can print the adapter that fits your battery and permanently attach it to the tool using glue or another strong adhesive. This updated design is more suited for Ryobi tools (tested with 18-gauge guns, 23-gauge guns, and inflators; it should fit all Ryobi tools). If you have a non-Ryobi tool, look for my older version, which is less specific. I recommend using Pro PLA or another high-strength material. To connect the power from the battery to the tool, you'll need 5 inches of copper wire, two metal plates or washers (anything conductive that fits the battery slots), and two wire connectors like the ones shown in my last picture. You can find these wire connectors on Amazon at https://www.amazon.ca/Baomain-Insulated-Connector-Electrical-Terminal/dp/B01MXTK0GY/ref=sr_1_74?__mk_fr_CA=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&keywords=wire+connector&qid=1556064835&s=gateway&sr=8-74. To install the adapter, use long-nose pliers to easily unfold the tool's original connector before fitting yours. Then, glue the printed part to the tool using epoxy, a hot glue gun, screws, or another strong adhesive. I suggest using a silicone-based sealant as glue because it provides better shock resistance and flexibility. Remember not to screw too far into the tool, as there are electronics just beneath the battery location.
