Dewalt Magnetic bit holder
thingiverse
I recently picked up a Dewalt Model DCD777, but I was surprised to find it lacked a magnetic bit holder or bit clips altogether. Notably, however, the drill did come equipped with screw holes and nylon locking nuts designed specifically for a belt clip. As someone relatively new to crafting and 3D printing, I felt confident that I could create a simple accessory to fit this drill, despite my inexperience. This is my first attempt, so there may be some tweaks needed along the way. For this project, I utilized magnets from Harbor Freight, which come packaged in small capsules measuring 8mm x 2mm each. To secure them in place, I recommend using your preferred brand of cyanoacrylate or hot glue, as they will be hidden behind the holder's face to prevent any damage to the magnets. The M3x15 cap head screws used for assembly can be easily sourced from most big-box hardware stores.
