DeWALT hexbit, drill, screw and other things holder

prusaprinters

I like to have everything at my fingertips (short range), so i have designed things holder for my DeWALT.There are mounting points for hexbits and also box for screw or any other things which you wish to put there. This is quite huge print and usefull only in some situations, so if you like to be minimalistic look at my small bit holder for dewalt, it is probably better and much usefull, look here:https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/149899-dewalt-small-5-x-hexbit-holder There are 2 versions shorter without drill holder, and longer with angled holes for drills.Longer version is stronger, so if your petg after print is not flexible, shorter version is not for you.Depending on the types of drills, place them downwards or upwards to avoid scratching. On the pictures you see my previous version i have fixed few print problems before publishing (also orientation on the printer).I have designed it for 5hA battery which is quite high, probably it fit also to 4Ah.Your DeWALT tool must have hanger or something screw on one or both sides to hold this print in place. Rounding part is thiner in one place as my DeWALT have Hanger and Magnetic holder on the second side.  You can have it both or only one.MountingPrint dimension is longer then required, but this help to remove it from the tool, easier pressing the battery releasing button. On one of the photo is visible what you should move before attache and dettache to the DeWALT tool. PrintingPrint without supports. Remember that orientation is important even on X and Y axis. Wrong orientation can cause problems on top part, or crash because of gravity move on Y axis. I use really a little glue to be 100% sure ;-)I have attached 3mf files with modifiers.Print settings: 15% infill, thick bridges, 3 perimeters, “fan always on”=off, fan speed 30 to 70.On top part use 5 perimeters to avoid infill.Important HintEven if you damage this thin part which is around battery (during print or usage), you can simply replace it by tie by doing 2 holes in the box and in one hex bit hole, so no worries :) Look at pictures how to use 2 ties to fix it. Use one long tie and only head from second tie.You can even add modifier in the prusa slicer to remove this thin part at all before print and use tie instead, as print quality depend of filament used. Printed with prusament no problem at all, it is flexible, printed with other kind of filament it can be hard and brittle, so you decide. UPDATE2022-03-13 - changed bit holder and drill to better catch items. 2022-03-15 - added hit protective covers
