DEWALT DWS779 to DWS780 Shadow light LED
thingiverse
Inspired by the DWS713 kit from paynterf. This conversion has been made due to DEWALT & 3rd party sellers making the shadow light addon/conversion ridiculously expensive. This kit costs less than $10 for us to make yet they sell their kit for over $100, shameless. This saw nose is a critical component in converting your saw to have an LED light. To make this work properly you'll need a switch, a bit of wire and a G8 LED bulb. (BULB)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B2DM6RQG/ (SWITCH)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VLMDCWG/ You'll need to drill a hole in your handle housing for the switch, I chose a spot that seemed to offer a lot of room below for wire placement. (they sell replacement handles if you mess up) You'll also need to solder the leads of the G8 bulb to wires. Everything else is self explanatory. PS: the polarity of the wires going to the bulb doesn't matter. Inside the handle you'll find a black wire going to the trigger switch, this is LOAD, the white wire is NEUTRAL.
