DeWalt Battery Vacuum to Filament Vacuum Storage Bags
prusaprinters
I made this to vacuum the storage bags instead of the hand pump but there is a catch. The vacuum is not strong enough to pop the seal to evacuate. The hand pump needs to be used to get enough draw to pop the seal and then the vacuum will be able to evacuate to bag. It is not speedy, but it works. There is an audible pop when the seal has opened. In the picture is the hand pump I used, and the bag evacuated by the DeWalt. One O-ring is required. I used one from the Harbor Freight metric O-ring kit. O-ring position #116, on the description table P20, W 2.4, I.D. 19.8.This will work with DeWalt battery vacuums, DC515, DCV517, DCV580 or similar models. In the 2-gallon models the part will fit in the handle for storage.I used Elegoo black PLA, 0.20, 3 wall, 25% infill, PEI build plate, may need outer brim.
