I design covers to protect valuable equipment like my 12V rechargeable tool batteries from DeWalt. Occasionally, I put these batteries in a bag with metal tools, which made me worry about accidental short circuits damaging the battery. Initially, I created a protective cap for a Ryobi battery before discovering a DeWalt model and deciding to make a custom cover for it.
