This simple attachment will revolutionize the way you work with carbon fiber submerged in water if you own an X Carve CNC or any other CNC that utilizes the Dewalt 611 router for its spindle. The toxic nature of carbon fiber dust necessitates cutting it underwater for optimal control and cooling, but the Dewalt 611's downward airflow causes chaos, sending water flying everywhere. A clever solution is a simple 3D printed attachment that screws onto the bottom of the Dewalt 611, redirecting the airflow to the sides, preventing disturbance in the water around your bit. Furthermore, even bits without an up cut can fling water upward and into the router, but this attachment prevents splatter by creating a small "skirt" around the base of the router. Alternatively, if you have a 3D printer but still want to contribute, buying your Dewalt 611 from this affiliate link will help us out.
