This is a DIY kit for crafting your own spectacular DEVO Energy Dome! A CAD design carefully recreated from authentic images and precise measurements taken from an original DEVO dome was created by me. This revamped design aims to make printing and assembly simpler than ever. Fire away with any questions! Note: No rights or ownership to the iconic DEVO Energy Dome are claimed here; this is purely a work of fan art. Post-Printing Assembly Instructions: After printing, I secured it with some robust Cyanoacrylate glue. As expected, sanding wasn't necessary. To cover up seams, model filler was applied first and then a glossy finish achieved through spraying it with paint. Design Process: Starting from a DEVO dome image, I meticulously traced its contours while considering various measurements, reference points, and personal proportion judgement. The resulting sketch was then transformed into 3D form by revolving the design. Meanwhile, extruded supports were created to ensure the dome's structural integrity.
