For a 260mm X 260mm or larger printer - single piece. I printed one of the original versions with the top-down and supports, full size. It came out pretty good, but used about half a spool of filament and took two full days. For the second attempt (for a friend) I tried many different orientations and support structures but all of them still estimated a very long print time and used a lot of material. So, I decided to attempt to eliminate the need for supports by putting cones inside the hat and then subtracting other cones from those to get little conical support ramps inside (using Tinkercad). After about 15 minutes this is what I came up with. This uses 60% less material than my best estimate with the old model and supports, and has a print time of 13 hours instead of 42 (due to all the support and retractions needed). I printed oriented top-up on .3mm layer height with a brim.
