Detolf extra shelf clips

The Ikea Detolfs do not allow for extra shelves. I created these clips so that you can add more shelves. Each set of four allows for one extra shelf. Each pair is used to attach a horizontal rod to the vertical rods that come with the shelves. The full circles are to push through the metal rods you buy and cut (these will make the horizontal rods that the glass shelves sit on). They're meant to fit 1/4" rods and should have a bit of wiggle room, hence the extra cut. The half circles will snap onto the vertical rods already included in the Detolf. I used JB Kwik glue (that's the dark grey stuff coming out from the red clips in my picture) to hold them in place and was able to test them for 15 lbs (even though what I display is nowhere near that much). This design worked for me, but depending on the rods you buy and how they're made, the horizontal cylinders may need to be widened (so they don't crack) or made smaller (to fit the rod better). I found this measurement worked best for me, as I tried smaller which led to too many cracked pieces when I fed the rods through. I printed this with 70% infill, but less infill didn't affect the time, so I don't think there is much space inside for infill. I used 0.3 mm thickness. I didn't use rafts or supports. It's designed to not need them during the printing. For displaying my 6-7" action figures, I used the following measurements: One rod placed between 4 1/4" and 4 1/2" above the top rod. One rod placed between 5 1/4" and 5 1/2" below the top rod. One rod placed between 5 1/4" and 5 1/2" above the bottom rod. One rod placed between 4 1/4" and 4 1/2" below the bottom rod. This gave me five glass shelves (the four listed, plus I used the one in the middle that is part of the Detolf. The rest are unused) plus the bottom wood one and kept them all about 10" apart.
