Fishing Rod Holder for Packraft. To ensure a secure fit, print this holder slightly oversized and sand it down to a snug fit. It should "click" into place once attached. The diameter of the tube reduces as you insert the fishing rod, preventing any wobbling. A slot is provided to accommodate fly rod reels. For optimal results, print this holder using ABS with 0.1mm layer height and 90% infill settings. Alternatively, you can glue it in place; I chose to use Gorilla tape instead. However, be aware that the adhesive may lose its grip when exposed to direct sunlight. To attach the base bracket, position the slot facing forward. I successfully tested this holder using a cheap telescopic rod and a wobbler. The result was an impressive 2.5Kg trout caught while trolling in 1m waves and strong winds. Despite the challenging conditions, I managed to paddle back to shore with the reel screaming behind me and landed the fish safely. This proves that this holder works effectively.
