Destructible Building 1
thingiverse
I designed a building specifically for my son, who's an avid Godzilla fan, to complement his toy collection. His enthusiasm inspired me to create this structure, but I initially struggled with adding destruction lines to the original design. These details proved to be a challenge, so I decided to simplify them in later iterations to make modeling easier. To accommodate 3D printing without supports, I divided the building into separate pieces that can be glued together - just be sure not to glue along the break lines, as this would defeat the purpose. The initial design featured spires on top and designated spots for magnets to hold the pieces in place, but these elements didn't quite work out as planned: the spires kept breaking off, and I found the magnetic attachments unnecessary. Despite these adjustments, the building stands at approximately 10 inches tall. My design draws inspiration from Chicago's iconic Willis Tower.
