A Masterpiece in Motion: A 3D Tribute to Stargate Universe's Destiny Or Our Visionary Interpretation of This Iconic Series. A Homage to a Breathtaking Franchise That Felt the Squeeze of Capitalism. A Token of Appreciation for the Devoted Fans. Enjoy, Maybe One Day the Crew Will Awaken ;). Print Settings Printer: Felixprinter 2.0 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.15 Infill: 15% Notes: Cura slicer In Repetier Host, load and scale to 0.0035, printed with 0.35mm nozzle. Support; touching bed. Printed upwards. Removing Supports If in Repetier host, in tab slicer, and pressing the "configuration" button when Cura slicer is selected, you get the Cura settings. Upper tab print/filament under print tab you go to the "structures" tab and under "support" set the xy distance to 0.6 and Zdistance to 0.15 if 0.15 is your layer height, 0.2 if 0.2 is your layer height. Then, removing supports should be a breeze. How I Designed This The Genesis The Destiny is the brainchild of visionary creators Brad Wright and Robert C Cooper who penned Stargate Universe. It's an interstellar spaceship that defies light speed limits with a stargate onboard, boasting impressive economic and military capabilities. This Destiny was crafted by one of our fellow 3D Warehouse members on Sketchup. Due to the sudden surge in models and artists, we can't recall who exactly designed it. Nonetheless, we acknowledge their contribution by adapting this model for 3D Printing – a complex task that involved exporting and making manifold from such a massive model. It required scaling down to 0.0035(+/-) of its original size to fit on a 20x20 bed. Custom Section The Ship's Apex The Tip of the ship gets too hot, risking meltdowns. A simple solution is to add cooling or make the printhead move more swiftly, such as printing two Destinies from the same height. This allows the tip to dissipate heat longer due to the head needing to print the identical design further away.
