Destiny Holocron
thingiverse
Recently started playing Star Wars Destiny, a CCG/Dice Game, and quickly realized that I needed a better way to transport my dice and cards. So I looked up something suitably Star Wars and came up with the Destiny Holocron Game Holder. The dice compartment should hold 50 dice, and the double-width card holder should be able to hold sleeved cards and/or tokens. The cube is 157mm on all sides. Have yet to print this so will need to adjust the dice and card holders for tolerances. Idea is to have a pair of three-sided units forming a U and insert small magnets to lock the sides together. Version 2 Update: The sides were taking forever to print on my machine and were trying to curl up at the corners, so I created Version 2 (HoloV2 Files). The walls and top/bottom on the V2 are designed so that I can stick coloured/textured clear plastic from pocket files onto the back of the cube walls (better aesthetics). I also tweaked the dice and card trays with some extra embossing and thinned the walls a bit to speed up printing. The Version 2 Holocron is now 150mm on all sides. Update: Revised the dice tray to remove bed mould lines. These were putting too much space between the dice and would have had the dice rattling around. Also, removal of the mould lines increases capacity from 25 to 36 dice as the extra space allows an extra row and column of dice.
