I'm always on the lookout for projects that push my modeling skills to the limit, something that showcases my printer's capabilities and really lets me show off what I can do. Prop weapons are a great fit for this, as they require a level of detail and complexity that's perfect for testing my mettle. When it came down to it, I decided on Traveler from Destiny 2 because its design really spoke to me. Finding reference images wasn't easy, but I managed to track down a few, which should give you an idea of how accurate the model is. Keep in mind that I haven't printed this yet (my printer's just warming up), so more information and photos will be coming soon. For now, it looks like the model fits comfortably within my 200mm x 200mm print bed. I did some quick renders using Fusion 360 to give you a better sense of what the finished product might look like ("the stand isn't included in this model"). I hope you like it!
