DesktopHero Waiting Warrior (Dungeon Twister Original proxy)
thingiverse
My first attempt with the DesktopHero 3D Beta is now complete. More information about DesktopHero can be found at: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/263291121/desktophero-free-3d-printable-character-maker https://www.facebook.com/desktophero3D DesktopHero is an amazing open-source tool that was funded on Kickstarter and is currently being developed by Andrew Stockton (http://www.thingiverse.com/stockto/). The current assets were designed by Arian Croft(http://www.thingiverse.com/dutchmogul) which explains their sturdy (easier to print) and beautiful appearance. You can find other proxies for Dungeon Twister at: http://www.thingiverse.com/agademer/collections/dungeon-twister Print Settings Printer Brand: Printer: Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.25mm Notes: The supports were not easy to break, but the mini is sturdy and wouldn't break in the process. The point of the sword was moving (a bit), but it wouldn't break. How I Designed This DesktopHero allows you to choose different parts (bone groups) and select associated 3D models (assets) while modifying the pose of every part in a really simple way! See this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuU3SMfWgnE&t=16s This is an excellent tool, and I encourage you to test it. Andrew allows access to the Beta for people who make donations: https://www.facebook.com/desktophero3D For this model, I had to play around a bit more with personalizing the assets' position rotation. It took me some time to get all the keyboard shortcuts down: Q: Enter edit mode Right-click: Select the bone R then X/Y/Z: Rotate around the X/Y/Z axis G then X/Y/Z: Translate around the X/Y/Z axis S: Uniform scaling S then X/Y/Z: Scale in the direction of X/Y/Z axis. Mouse movement: Quantity of effect Left-click: Validate / Right-click: Cancel
