Desktop Valentine Working Gears

My wife wouldn't be caught dead wearing my Valentine Gears Pin, so I took on the task of giving it a serious overhaul. After ditching the original design's cramped space limitations, I upsized it to fit neatly on my desktop, tweaked its mechanics and added an adorable knob to that top-right gear for ease of use. Now this stylish masterpiece stands at about 4 inches square (100 mm) – all thanks to my printer's plate maximum dimensions. A "work-in-progress" photo is showcased here - just a sneak peek of what you'll be seeing if I upload it. Since iPhone movie magic doesn't translate into easily-uploaded file types yet, rest assured that better things are coming ASAP. You know what would make this whole experience even sweeter? A YouTube clip featuring the entire pin from top to bottom, crafted by some genius with an artistic flair - which just so happens to be in need of some vibrant color additions. And for anyone experiencing similar troubles down the line (hello gear-lovers!), keep in mind that the print might start out perfectly fine but begin showing wear at that pesky skinny part of the gear on top right side of your design. I learned my lesson early on, deciding it would be much wiser to make use of some sturdy materials instead. Here are my instructions if you're curious: 1 Print away with a solid .3 mm thickness per layer. 2 Shell yourself 20 times over at full throttle speed - basically go for maximum performance all around.
