After crafting a sturdy stand/handler for my Kenwood TH-D74 Radio (item 2884874), fellow ham enthusiasts requested I create one for their Icom 51a. So, I designed this stand and, after several revisions, settled on the current version. Key features include: - A solid, resistant design that prevents tipping over. - The screen's tilted angle makes it easy to read. - An additional spare battery is securely held in place. - Power cord strain relief ensures a secure connection. - Both regular and extended batteries are accommodated. - All ports remain accessible, and the speaker grill remains unobstructed. - For added stability, use the radio's belt clip to firmly grip the stand. - A 3/8" wooden dowel can be used for external antenna strain relief if needed. - You can also secure it in place using a Velcro strap on the center console armrest in your car. Parameters I employed: PLA material, 50% infill, and a .18 layer height After printing, you can attach some felt or rubber feet to the bottom to protect surfaces. Enjoy!
