Desktop Raspberry Pi Case
thingiverse
A minimalist desktop case specifically designed for a 5" LCD touchscreen-equipped Raspberry Pi computer. These screens frequently arrive with various port configurations, which may impact the placement of connections; my specific screen's ports resided on the left side. After conducting research, I noticed that alternative configurations exist, such as positioning the ports on top, requiring minimal modifications to achieve optimal alignment. To complement this case, I added a stylus pen holder discreetly integrated into the screen border. This customization serves both aesthetic and practical purposes. Regarding the drilling process for the Raspberry Pi holes, my recent exposure to Blender necessitated some trial-and-error experimentation, which ultimately resulted in imperfections due to limited expertise. The printed case does not pre-drill these holes, prompting me to drill them manually afterward. Notably, this base design is versatile and can be utilized with a wide range of Pi enclosures; I have successfully integrated it with 0110-M-P's Raspberry Pi 2 Enclosure available on Thingiverse under the reference ID #922740. A special acknowledgement is owed to the designer, 0110-M-P, whose innovative creation has been invaluable in this project.
