Desktop Power Supply - Compaq PDP 117P Hack
thingiverse
This project contains the detailed components which must be fabricated to create the housing to a hardware-hacked desktop power supply built from a Compaq PDP 117P computer power supply. Voltage Outputs: 0VDC 3.3VDC 5VDC 12VDC The included .stl files were printed using PLA+ Make 4 Feet! The .pdf files outline the dimensions for the wood components of the box. These components were cut from 0.5in MDF and assembled using drywall screws and woodglue. Originally modeled in Fusion360, .stp files available upon request. NOTES: 3.3VAUX (Pink, Pin 9) to LED+ to 1K Resistor to GND %Serves as STBY for plugged in status 3.3V (Brown, Pin 1 or 8) to 50W 6ohm Resistor to GND %Dummy Load On/Off Switch: STBY (White, Pin 4) to sPin1 5V AUX (Green, Pin 5) to sPin2 (middle) GND to sPin3 (gold color pin for internal LED) Voltage Switch: Let Clockwise rotation increase Voltage setting inPin1 to nothing! no output inPin2 to 3.3V (Brown, pin 1 or 8) inpin3 to 5V (Red, 4 total) inPin4 to 12V (Orange, 5 total) Outpin to bTerminal+ Display: Calibrate pot for ammeter against multimeter before final installation!
