LED Driver Customizable Way (Using LM317) We Adopt High Power LEDs to Provide Enough Light Intensity Instead of Using LED Stripes, and It Requires a Current Source to Turn on LEDs. Commonly, "LM317" Can Be Configured as a Current Source by Shorting Pin 1 and 2 Together as Shown Below. Be Aware That Higher Voltage Drop Across LM317 Will Generate So Much Heat That Using a Heat Sinker Is Very Recommended. *Do Not Use Power Supply to Directly Drive LED. (It Will Burn Out Instantly!!) LM317 is Usually Attached to a Heat Sinker Because of Power Inefficiency Compared to Most of LED Driver Modules Simpler Way (Using LED Driver Module) To Use LED Driver Modules Would Be a Better Choice, and I Recommend That. It Saves Your Time Building Circuits, and Driver Modules Usually Have Higher Power Efficiency and Low Heat Generation. The Voltage of Series Connected LEDs Should Be Less Than 10~11V, and You Cannot Shunt the LEDs with Different Voltages. For Example, Combination A, B, and C Cannot Be Shunted with D, E, or F. The Typical Light Emitting Angle of LED is 160 Degrees. Most of the Light Radiates Outward Not to Deliver to Plants. So, the Focus Lenses Are Recommended to Use.
