Desktop Organizer
thingiverse
This desktop organizer consists of a phone holder, cord holes to thread charger cords to charge your phone, a paper holder, index cards/calculator holder, paper holder, USB holder, paper clip holder, and empty space for anything. I created it for the intent of organizing school and personal supplies, so that I may know where everything is. This design can help students locate their school supplies with ease, whether they are in school or doing virtual. Some issues I came across was what would be necessary for a student to have in a desktop organizer, and the correct dimension for the holders. I used personal knowledge and some research on desktop organizer designs, and improved the designs to incorporate them into my project. I figured out the correct dimensions by testing and retesting the dimensions until I was satisfied with the design. If I could redesign this again, I would make it a smaller design, and move the cord holders to a better-access spot. I would also add a spot to hold Post-It notes. Another idea would be to make holders separate and have connecters so that you can arrange the holders to make your own personal organizer. 3D printing strengthens my design because I am able to create the desktop organizer anyway I want. Everyone has control to make an original design to help consumers or for themselves, so that they can improve their lives and lifestyles.
