I wanted to design an attractive device that wouldn't clutter the desk with more electronics. I envisioned hiding the screens inside a flower pot, making the space look more beautiful rather than messy. The device consists of two parts: one holds the plant and the other contains all the electronics and screens. The top part can be rotated to access the screens, allowing users to scroll through their notifications easily. For this project, a flexible e-ink display like the Waveshare 2.13-inch screen could be used. This type of display is available on AliExpress for purchase. It features double-color e-paper and a rugged design. The screens can be controlled using a Raspberry Pi Zero, making it an affordable and efficient option for this project.
